FitGrade ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the FitGrade mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use FitGrade:

• Account information: name, email address, and password (encrypted)
• Profile data: role (coach, trainer, or athlete), sport, and fitness information you provide
• Training data: workout plans, session logs, and injury records you create or receive
• Usage data: app interactions and feature usage for performance improvements

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the FitGrade service
• To generate personalized AI training plans based on information you provide
• To connect coaches with their athletes within the platform
• To send important service notifications and updates
• To respond to support requests

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

Third-Party Services

FitGrade uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase — authentication and data storage (Google Privacy Policy)
• Anthropic Claude API — AI-generated training plan content
• Apple App Store — billing and in-app purchases

Training plan inputs are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. We do not share your personally identifiable information with Anthropic.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Within the app, coaches can view the profile and training data of athletes who have linked to their roster using a join code. Athletes control which coach they connect to.

Data Retention & Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

FitGrade is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at the email below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of FitGrade after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
